The subject matter might be risqué for some, but author Laurie Elizabeth Flynn is hoping that young adult readers will put aside any preconceptions and instead focus on double standards and character development.įlynn, who resides in London, is launching her debut novel, Firsts, a fictional tale about 17-year-old Mercedes Ayres who agrees to have sex with boys as long as they are virgins. ![]()
